A Note About Attendee Lists
It has come to our attention that some members, conference attendees, and/or exhibitors have been receiving emails from rogue list brokers claiming to have access to the NAME/CaNOE summer conference 2024 attendee list for sale. Please note that NAME is not sending these communications, nor are the senders in any way connected to or affiliated with our organization.
This scam has been afflicting trade shows where exhibitors are contacted by people fraudulently claiming to be selling the show’s attendee list. NAME does not rent, share, or sell your email or physical address to any third parties or list brokers, and the conference attendee list is not available to the public.
What to do if you receive an email:
- If you receive an attendee list scam email, do not interact with the sender, and follow your organization’s procedure for reporting SPAM.
- If emails continue, you may also wish to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission by going to ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
