Beauty, history and serenity merge at Dumas Bay Centre in Federal Way, Washington. Many of the 69 guestrooms look out over Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. You’ll watch birds soar and small boats come and go, and the sunsets are definitely something to write home about.
The simple yet comfortable guest rooms are a reflection of the distinctive past of the Dumas Bay Centre. Built in 1956 as a convent and women’s retreat center, these rooms once housed the Sisters of Visitation. Today, the serene natural setting and cozy atmosphere continue to promote inspiration and reflection.
To preserve the peaceful retreat experience, all rooms are free of televisions and telephones. For those looking to stay connected, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Guests can also enjoy cozy lounge areas, perfect for playing games, chatting with colleagues, or jamming along with NAME friends.
Please note:
- Every room includes a sink, and many feature a private half bath, with convenient access to nearby showers. Three of the rooms are ADA accessible, ensuring a welcoming stay for all.
- Rooms are located on two floors, but there is no elevator. We will provide accommodation on the first floor for anyone who is unable to navigate stairs.
- Some of the rooms have two twin beds or a double bed and can accommodate a second guest, although due to the tight quarters, we encourage this option only for family and close friends.
