NAME Oregon is excited to invite you to a South Coast Excursion May 31–June 1, 2025!

Saturday, May 31

  • 9–11 am: Morning tide pool exploration -1.31 tide (location TBD) This will be guided if we get enough interest, otherwise you can explore on your own.
  • 1–3 pm: South Slough National Estuarine Reserve Guided Hike. 61907 Seven Devils Rd, Charleston, OR 97420
  • 3:15–5pm: Charleston Marine Life Center Guided Tour, including their education programs. 63466 Boat Basin Rd., Charleston, OR 97420
  • 6pm: Dinner at Dave’s Pizza – Appetizers served. You can choose to order dinner and beverages.
  • Lodging on your own and then…

Sunday, June 1

  • 8:30 am–12:30: Whale Watching Boat Trip—leaving from OIMB/CMLC dock. 63466 Boat Basin Rd., Charleston, OR 97420
    • Bring binoculars and dress in layers and be prepared for a variety of weather – sunscreen to raingear and cold (Oregon coast in early June). Space on the boat is limited to 20 ‘Adults Only’ participants, so register soon. NAME members will be given priority.
