“On Watch”—from the President’s Desk

Hello Everyone!

I want to again, thank Washington for an excellent conference. 
Hope all of you had a wonderful rest of the summer and fall and are ready for the holidays.  Members in our chapters have also been busy.

Alaska and your 2012 conference committee have been hard at work planning the upcoming conference in Anchorage in June.  We are very excited about all of the wonderful opportunities that will be offered.  Continue to check our website for updates.  Be sure to make travel arrangements ASAP.

I would like to remind everyone to submit events to Flashmail and to our Website Calendar.  There are wonderful activities being offered.  Our Facebook page has been a great means of communication.  Thanks again to Deb Smith for setting that up!

We had a great showing at the Oregon Science Teachers Association Conference and many more at NSTA in Seattle in December.

We will be holding our annual mid-year board meeting in Padilla Bay, Washington, January 27-29, 2012.  All members are welcome but please contact Alan Rammer by the 5th if you have not already done so.  If you have items for the agenda, please forward those to Anne Stewart, as soon as possible.
